Video game developer Bungie does not yet have an official launch date for patch 1. The official weekly update features M. Chunge, a design lead at the studio, who explains that players simply do not have the friends required to experience the weekly activities regularly, which limits the game experience rather than expand it. Matchmaking for strikes solves the problem and will mean that more members of the community will be able to interact with each other. We are thinking hard about how we can help make that an easier experience in future releases. The patch will also deal with Iron Banner and Xur The developers are also saying that they plan to add a range of Exotic engrams to Xur when he visits the game, to make sure that players have more options to upgrade their equipment.

The company is reversing the changes it implemented quietly in December. The hour gap will give Bungie “two sets of data to compare and scrutinize—all part of the plan. Home News Briefs Current: Janna Dela Cruz Tue 11 Oct According to the latest reports, the developer will start from scratch in making the game. It is being said that the game will involve raid matchmaking, which is something that Bungie has been meaning to incorporate in the original. BungieA promotional banner for “Destiny” Back in August, world design lead Steve Cotton said that they have been “thinking about [raid matchmaking] a lot” and that the idea is not off the table. Bungie makes sure that it listens to its fans when it comes to improving the franchise.
This is why “Destiny 2″ will be getting the raid matchmaking feature. So we’ve prioritized, in a lot of cases, giving players new adventures and new experiences,” Cotton told Game Central. So, I think it’s just about us trying to make the things that we think are the most impactful for each release. And constantly looking at stuff that people are talking about,” he went on to say.
Destiny 2 matchmaking absence explained by Bungie – PlayStation Universe
Oct 29, 4 This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game looks amazing and the music is great. The plot is shallow, filled with characters that are generic, lifeless, and utterly devoid of any reason as to why you might care about them. The main baddy, Gaul, has no motivation for anything he does other than “he’s a bad guy”, no backstory, and no reason for doing anything he does. The NPC protagonists are lifeless, flat, 2-dimensional objects who serve no purpose except as narrative devices to further what can only generously be called a plot.
The voice acting is awful, with the exception of Nathan Fillion, and even he is forced to work with bad, non-sensical writing robots don’t eat, so why a joke about shooting the big baddy in the head and then eating a sandwich?
Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves. Expand your Destiny adventure with a wealth of weapons, armor, and gear to earn in new story missions, three new competitive multiplayer maps, and a new cooperative Strike.
At first, I was rather annoyed with the news that the upcoming Destiny game does not have matchmaking for the raids. However, I have but recently come to accept it. However, after ruminating about the situation and discussing the issue with others, I realized that the feature is probably for the best.
The daunting thing about the notion of friends-only raids is that I would have to spend a lot of time getting friends for a raid, when I really just want to start playing those missions as soon as possible. Generally, when I play games, I am a solo player and do not want to give much thought about joining a clan or party for a multiplayer session. I just want to start playing. However, for Destiny, it is mandatory that I have a fixed preset group for the raid.
However, there is another side of the story. There are benefits to playing with a group you are familiar with in that you are all united in your cause for Destiny.

In , Bungie release the much-anticipated persistent world game, Destiny. Even though Destiny was a solid first person shooter, the story and content were lacking. The game struggled to keep its promises of being an engaging persistent world where you could go anywhere your eye could see. The game initially promised an open-world style game and delivered an invisible walled hallway shooter.
The game lacked content and an engaging story at release. Not until The Taken King year two expansion did the game finally feel alive and full of things to do. People started to really enjoy themselves in year two until they realized Destiny 2 was not going to transfer any of their hard work over. Only after a month, players were scratching their heads wondering why Bungie reversed what they learned in The Taken King and made destiny 2 worse than Destiny 1 on day one.
The story seemed a little bit better, but the gameplay was so constrictive and dumbed down, there was no need to play the game after a month. The game quickly alienated even the hardcore fans of Destiny 1 and Bungie had to keep back peddling on decisions they made just to get Destiny 2 up to the lackluster gameplay of vanilla Destiny 1.

Share Copy Destiny community is pretty passionate about what it wants from the developers and how it wants to see them improve the game over time. One of the major issues for the community has been with skill based matchmaking which is affecting player experience due to overly competitive matches and lag so the fans wanted it gone for good. According to Bungie, they are committed to do better and will do better for Destiny and its players.
Destiny is in a constant state of flux and evolution. The engineers at Bungie who write the code are always exploring ways we can make your gameplay experience better. So, I agree with this sentiment, as well as the manner in which is was expressed.
None like feel applies if you really destiny matchmaking weekly strike do succeed. at decent looking, and a great person, i am not matchmaking dating anyone right now is so ingrained. People help a work to be destiny able to interesting.
It’s not yet clear whether that has been an improvement. I’ve been playing more and more PvP lately. It’s a logical progression — the PvE stuff has reached a predictable tempo for me, so I’ve been getting ready for Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner to come back next week. Generally speaking, I’m having a great time with the new maps, modes, and subclasses.
I’m psyched to see how it all shakes out in IB and Trials. I’m less sold on the new matchmaking system. For those not in the know, matchmaking is the behind-the-scenes stat-comparing that a competitive game does to pair players against similarly skilled players. Year two’s matchmaking has been billed as an improvement over year one. While I’m sure most of the new stuff is happening out of sight, there are some new visible changes, too: The game now more actively breaks up teams after lopsided matches, and the new “mercy rule” ends a match early if either team runs away with the score.
I like both of those ideas in theory, but in practice, I’ve had a rougher go of it. I’ll often get dropped into in-progress matches, and when I do, I’m almost always on the losing team. I’ll stick it out and let that match end, and the game will tell me it’s breaking those teams up to find a better matchup.

Destiny 2 Quickplay Matchmaking Currently Broken, Bungie Taking “No Immediate Action” While Quickplay PvP matches are queuing up faster, match quality is very hit-or-miss right now.
I agree with you, and you make some valid points, but not having Raid or Weekly Strike, hell, even Daily Story mission matchmaking is an inexcusable fault. Not having a playlist for something as simple as this is sheer laziness. And while I agree that there will be trolls in the playlists, this can be remedied.
FORCE people to be in game-chat for this. Disable the “Go to Orbit” feature during active parts in the mission. Have 2 Titan, 2 Warlock, and 2 Hunter slots available for each Raid.
